Karina L. Lewis is a passionate and experienced advocate for the horse. A pioneer in the field of whole horse health, Karina's focus is the art of healing horses. Karina's success has led her on an International journey. She is an accomplished author, farrier and equine dentist with 33 years experience. Having a lifetime with horses, she is also skilled in the art of training horses and holds certifications in multiple healing modalities with horses. 

Timothy A Patterson, DVM, CVA, VCP, PAK

Dr. Patterson is an avid equine enthusiast, having ridden and shown Hunters and Jumpers including in

the collegiate ranks, where he showed on the Purdue Equestrian Team. He continued his interest after

graduation when he showed on the A- circuit on the East Coast. He also enjoyed Fox Hunting at

Romwell Hunt Club.

Dr. Patterson graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science/Nutrition in 1982 and Doctor of

Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and Highest Honors in Equine Medicine from Purdue University in 1987.

After graduation, he went to work for Mid-Atlantic Equine Medical Center in Ringoes, New Jersey

specializing in Equine Lameness and Reproduction. He was exposed to Acupuncture in Veterinary

School where he also assisted in research on Acupuncture. In 1989, Alternative Care assisted in his

recovery from a severe automobile accident and he began to investigate additional alternative

therapies. That combined with his desire to offer the highest quality Medicine, lead to him to pursue

training in Alternative Medicine for the last twenty-five years. Dr. Patterson has studied Eastern

Medicine and many Alternative Modalities. He is currently certified in more than twenty of those

modalities, including Acupuncture, Chiropractic, Herbal Medicine, Applied Kinesiology, Laser Therapy,

Bio-Dynamic Resonance, Quantum Healing Pathics, Quantum Neurology and several other modalities,

including emotional clearing techniques like Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET).

In 1990, he opened his own Integrative Equine Practice in Central New Jersey, specializing in Lameness

and Reproduction for Sport Horses. In 1995, he also established an Integrative Small Animal Practice.

Both practices utilized Acupuncture, Chiropractic, and Herbal Medicine as his primary services.

Being attracted to the spiritual nature of the Native American culture and their honor of Pachamama all

lead him to Arizona in 2007, where he spent several years learning their way of life and practiced

Integrative Medicine, incorporating Native American herbs and practices. In 2009, he established

Holistic Veterinary Services, integrating conventional veterinary medicine and surgery with alternative

therapies to regain and sustain long-term optimal health for his patients, this broad approach addresses

all issues, combining the use of the best of both worlds. In 2013 Dr. Patterson began visiting the Big

Island where he first experienced the Aloha Spirit. Having experienced the energy of the Hawaii and its

culture, he knew he desired to be in Hawaii. After visiting Haleakala in 2017 and experiencing the peace

and serenity from standing on Maui’s ”House of the Sun” (Mother Earth’s Heart Chakra), he knew that

Maui is where he really desired to be. On Maui, he would be in a place to continue his spiritual growth

and to share his talents with the people of Hawaii.

He brings twenty-five years of experience in Equine Integrative Medicine, particularly in Performance

Horses. He has served on the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee, and was President of the

House of Delegates of IVAS (International Veterinary Acupuncture Society). He has also served on the

Board of Directors of the AAVA (American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture), and on their CE

Committee as well as other Committees. He has been a Teaching Assistant in the IVAS Basic

Acupuncture course and has lectured at their Congress.

Seth M. Lapinski is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He is currently the lead planning manager for the Avmax Group in Great Falls, Montana. Seth has achieved multiple tier advances in both his personal and business life. His hobbies include travel, aviation, real estate investments, business planning and of course, animals. Seth brings a multi-cultural point of view in addressing whole horse health influenced by his adventures abroad.  Seth is graduate of Southern New Hampshire University. He is currently pursuing his advanced Master's degree in business. 

Martine Groeneveld, EDO is a gifted and compassionate osteopath originally from Holland. Experienced in both large and small animal care, she primarily focuses on issues in the equine. Sought after on all Continents she calls California, United States home and has a busy equine mobile business wherein she focuses on the issues related not just in the horse's feet and teeth but in all mobile joints and structures of the equine body.
